The Center funds a number of projects each year. The largest ongoing project is the Flood Coordination Study (FCS) that seeks to facilitate improved data availability to help Southeast Texas plan for, predict, and respond to floods. In addition to the FCS the center is funding a number of projects each fiscal year with a focus on research, education, and community outreach. Springboard projects generally focus on a particular discipline and are chosen by department Deans. Lamar projects are larger-scale interdisciplinary projects that are funded after being submitted to a Request for Proposal (RFP).
The following word cloud is an aggregate of common themes among 2022 Springboard and Lamar projects and the FCS.
