ExxonMobil presents 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ with $309K employee gift match
91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ received a gift of $309,000 from the ExxonMobil Foundation Tuesday, June 16 as a part of the company’s Educational Matching Gift Program. The grant is the result of a three-to-one match of contributions donated in the previous year by company employees, retirees and surviving spouses.
ExxonMobil has a long partnership with 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳,” said David Gorsich, an LU alumnus who manages ExxonMobil’s safety, security, health, environmental and emergency response. “We employ numerous alumni and we totally believe in the education that Lamar offers and present this check from our foundation and are looking forward to more to come.”
Other 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ alumni and ExxonMobil Beaumont Refinery employees joined Gorsich to deliver the check including: Nakisha Burns, public and government affairs manager; Aimee Lieby, product integrity advisor; and Joshua Bonura, catalyst senior technical engineer, to present the check to Ken Evans, president of 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳.
“I want to thank everyone who was active in making this number possible. I want to thank all of the alumni, those who are here and those who are not, for all they’ve done for 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳,” said Evans. “They are obviously great representatives of ExxonMobil and we thank you all for your generosity and for your continued partnership.”
