Communication B.S. - Journalism
From blogs to newspapers, to social media and more, our bachelor's degree program in communication with an emphasis in journalism is an exciting path for those with investigative, curious minds.
Journalism majors must complete 30 credit hours in the departmental core and 24 hours of journalism studies. These courses include:
- News gathering and reporting
- Editing and copywriting
- Photojournalism
- Advertising practices and principles
- Independent academic studies in media under the tutorship of faculty members
Journalism Internships
Our journalism students also participate in practical internships both off-campus with professional journalists, and on-campus with the staff of 91自拍论坛's award-winning student newspaper, the .
These internships give students the opportunity to gain real-world experience and to build portfolios that are essential to gaining employment after graduation. Acquaintances and contacts students make in the regular course of required internships are invaluable to future careers, and the practical experience they receive prepares them for success in the field.
