91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳

Charge: The Athletics Council is charged with advising the President of 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ and the Director of Athletics on matters related to intercollegiate athletics.  The Council serves as an advocate for student-athletes to promote academic achievement, well-being, and a positive student-athlete experience to become contributing members within their communities.

Membership & Reporting: The FAR is appointed by the President of 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ and the remaining Council membership is composed of 20 of the following individuals voted on by other entities across campus: Voting Members (15 of the 20), 1 NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative (Chair), 10 faculty, 2 students, 2 administration representatives. 5 Ex-Officio, Non-voting Members. A call for interest in serving on the Athletics Advisory Board will periodically go out to the campus community in an effort to identify a diverse representation of the university community.  Each faculty and administrative representative will serve a three–year term. Student representation will be appointed by the Vice President of Student Affairs.
